Water Management Australia provides health facilities with regular sampling and endotoxin testing to comply with Australian Standard AS 5369 requirements for final rinse water purity in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices and other devices in health and non-health related facilities.
This Endotoxin Testing complies with the Australian Dental Association Guidelines for Infection Prevention and Control.
Health facilities must ensure that the quality of water being used for the final rinse after manual cleaning complies with the Australian Standard AS 5369 requirements on a regular basis. This includes regular testing by a NATA accredited laboratory for: pH 5.5-8.0, conductivity < 30 microSiemens per cm, hardness < 10 mg/L, chloride < 10 mg/L, iron < 0.2 mg/L, phosphates < 0.2 mg/L, silicates < 1 mg/L, viable bacteria < 100 per 100 mL and endotoxins < 0.25 Endotoxin Units per mL.
