PFAS Bore Water Testing is carried out by Water Management Australia to ensure the water is fit for purpose.
We have over 45 years water testing experience and provide NATA accredited analysis for PFAS and other contaminants. Water Management Australia provides a free service to collect & sample all bores throughout South Australia and Victoria. PFAS Bore Water Testing is essential because PFAS can affect your health all over your body. PFAS is commonly called “forever chemicals” because they don’t fully break down in the environment. PFAS was commonly used in firefighting foams. There are now good, well-researched links between PFAS and cancers, particularly kidney cancer and testicular cancer. PFAS are also linked to various other endocrine-related type conditions, such as menstrual cycle alterations, infertility and thyroid disease.
PFAS from bore water has been linked to lower birth weights, to developmental delays in children and immunological effects.
PFAS contaminated bore water can be breathed in from garden sprinklers and water sprays.
Unfortunately, we don’t know all the potential PFAS chemicals that are currently being used in Australia, and we don’t know how to reverse any effects that have already occurred from PFAS.
The EPA and Health Departments recommend PFAS Bore Water Testing to ensure bore water is fit for purpose.
